Palak Paneer Recipe:
Material:
2 cups fresh spinach leaves, washed and chopped
200 grams paneer, in cubes
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
2 green chillies, chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 cup fresh cream (optional)
salt to taste
2 tbsp oil or ghee
Blanch the Spinach:
Boil water in a vessel and blanch the spinach leaves for 2 minutes.
Drain the water and immediately put the spinach in ice cold water to retain its green color.
Blend boiled spinach and make a smooth puree.
Prepare Paneer:
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and fry the paneer pieces until they become light golden. Cancel.
Prepare gravy:
Add another tablespoon of oil in the same pan. - Add cumin and let it crackle.
Add chopped onion to it and fry until it turns golden brown. -Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilli and fry for a minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft and oil separates.
Add spice powder: Add turmeric powder, red chili powder and garam masala. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
Add spinach puree: Add spinach puree and mix with the spice mixture. Cook on medium flame for 5-7 minutes.
Add cheese:
Mix the fried paneer pieces in the spinach mixture. Mix gently,
ensuring that the paneer is well coated with the spinach gravy.
Adjust consistency and seasoning:
Add salt as per taste. If the gravy is too thick, you can add water to achieve the desired consistency.
Alternatively, add fresh cream for a creamy texture.
boil: Let the Palak Paneer boil for 5-10 minutes, so that its flavor gets absorbed into it.
to serve: Serve hot with naan, roti or rice.
